OUR STORYAndi & Brian
We first developed our partnership to challenge ourselves and explore the various facets tango offers. As we dove more into tango we found our varying backgrounds brought an intriguing combination. Tango is full of contradictions and so is our dynamic.

Our teaching is characterized as vibrant, sensation based, and detailed. We’re based in the Boston and Western MA areas. We have been invited to teach and perform throughout the USA at various milongas and festivals.

Andi and Brian are able to tailor workshops and classes to your community needs from beginner to advanced to all levels.
Andi Babbs
Andi Babbs is based in Cambridge, MA and frequents Western MA. She focuses on teaching tango as a language with the emphasis of sensations over memorizing patterns. She has guest taught, performed, and DJed at various places in the USA. Over the years she’s learned from dozens of tango artists around the world and has done intensive study with Anita Flejter and Hernan Brizuela at Ultimate Tango. She has visited Buenos Aires multiple times and while there she has taken many workshops with tango maestros.
Her enthusiasm is unparalleled. When she’s not at her home studio she can be found exchanging ideas, performing, continuing her tango learning, teaching and leading tours. She is also the host of Andi-longa. Andi is always interested in bringing live music to her milongas. If you are a tango musician she’d love to hear your work.
Brian Spellman
Brian Spellman didn’t go looking for tango --- tango found him. It showed up one night on a graveyard shift at a soda factory in Connecticut, and it never quite left. He began learning from Daniel Trenner, and years later found himself --- unexpectedly but gratefully --- locked down in Trenner’s Tango House during the pandemic, immersed in dancing, dialogue, and discovery. Since then, Brian has studied tango in Buenos Aires and across the U.S., developing a style grounded in musicality, clear fundamentals, and a passion for demystifying tango’s language and pedagogy. He teaches in Florence, MA, serves on the Western MA Tango Board, DJs, performs, and organizes with a belief that good teaching is less about having all the answers and more about showing up --- curious, evolving, and committed to the dance.
Our Services

We’d be honored to perform or conduct an exhibition at your event! We’ve performed at various places within the USA. We may keep your audience guessing on who’s leading/following by performing in a reverse embrace or switching roles.

We teach in both roles and each provide a unique perspective on the dance. We offer beginner to advanced to all level topics. Let us work with you to develop workshops based on your community needs.

We offer private lessons for individuals or couples. There are options to book with one teacher or both of us.

DJing, artist collaborations, community building, unofficial field trips, and all things tango. Okay this one isn’t really a service but we’re both organizers and host milongas throughout the year. We love connecting and engaging with communities.
