Tango Tiempo - The Newest Argentine Tango Calendar
We’ve all been there. We are traveling to a new place with our tango shoes packed ready to engage with the local community. The struggle….how do we find the local milongas, practicas, or even classes? So we search for a calendar but there may not be one so we go to Facebook and try to find the correct group to join. Once we find a group we endlessly scroll to see what could be happening to figure out how we can plan to attend. This may even happen in your local community. You’ve missed a pop up event or live music announcement because you didn’t see a post about it. It’s unnecessarily complicated.
Introducing Tango Tiempo. The newest Argentine Tango Calendar.
The tango community is blessed to have people that want to solve these problems. Toby Balsley’s mission is to make tango easier to find, attend, and support. After experiencing the same frustrations Toby has transformed the Boston Tango Calendar into an all encompassing one.
What makes it unique?
Allows organizers the freedom to manage and display their events in one spot
Allows users to find DJs or musicians
Able to search by various categories such as milonga, practica, class, live music, marathon, or festival to name a few
FREE to both submit and see events
The calendar is now live and free to use. The onboarding team is ramping up signing up organizers, DJs, musicians, and instructors and the team is actively adding users.
“We're actively engaging tango organizers throughout the United States, expanding city by city. If you host any type of tango events (festivals, milongas, practicas, etc.), are a traveling teacher "Maestro" or tango performer, have a local tango band, or teach Argentine tango — you belong on this site. Just login and apply. It's always free to search and find events (with some upcoming paid services like targeted event promotions and other advanced features). We want to make tango easier to find, attend, and support. Just click the apply button. Here's a little secret: it's automatically approved, but we do use AI to verify events follow our tango guidelines.”
Help make tango easier to find, attend, and support the various artists and organizers in the community.
